Hole 18
Men's Handicap: 10
Women's Handicap: 8
Hole: 18
Par: 3

Conventional thinking is that a finishing hole should be a par four or five. However, Mesa Verde's 18th is a truly great finishing hole. The green is guarded by just about every danger known to golfer. Bunkers on either side catch short shots. A rear bunker awaits the overly aggressive. There is a small lay-up area short of the green for the faint of heart, which is affectionately called 'CS Flats.' To top it all off, the tee shot is, once again, directly into the teeth of the wind, which makes the shot one to two clubs longer. Those who play the blue tees are faced with what is effectively a 210 to 225 yard shot over water. Shots from left and above the green become downhill racers and can easily run off the putting surface.
